Kathy Rhodes is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Kathy loves working with people that are seeking emotional stability, lifestyle changes, freedom from abuse and addictions, and self-confidence. She strives to make the therapeutic environment emotionally safe, judgement free, and encouraging. She is extremely proficient in diagnostics and psychopathology which can aid in a more individualized treatment process.
Training and Background
Kathy received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University in Vancouver, Washington. She attended Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon where she completed her Master of Arts in Counseling and the Child and Youth Counseling Specialization. Kathy has experience providing outpatient mental health services in a community mental health agency and residential mental health services. With Kathy’s support and encouragement, her clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions, and psychosis have moved toward more fulfilling lives and better mental health. She has extensive knowledge about community supports and services.
Kathy works to improve community awareness and education about mental health issues and services through leading community presentations, networking, and training other professionals.
In addition to being a counselor, Kathy is a mother. She spends her free time hiking, gardening, reading novels, and enjoying a myriad of outdoor activities.
