About Amanda as a Counselor
Amanda is a military wife and mother to three young children, with a passion for supporting individuals through life’s challenges. Amanda approaches her work with a person-centered orientation, believing that everyone has the ability to take charge of their lives. Her goal is to walk alongside her clients, offering a listening ear and a caring heart as they uncover what they need to live their best life. She values the diversity and uniqueness of each person and is always eager to learn about different cultures and experiences. If requested, she also offers Christian faith integration in her counseling approach.
Training and Background
Amanda is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling on the mental health track at Western Oregon University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from Portland State University. In addition to her academic achievements, Amanda brings a wealth of personal experience to her work, including years of raising her own children, teaching swimming lessons, and teaching assisting. She is dedicated to helping others find their path to healing and growth, particularly postpartum women facing depression, anxiety, or a loss of identity.
Rates
$90 – 53 minute Individual Counseling
$110 – 53 minute Couples Counseling
$120 – 53 minute Diagnostic Assessment
*Limited Reduced Rate Scholarships are available upon request
Wednesday 9 AM – 3 PM
Saturdays 9 AM – 12 PM
All appointments must be scheduled in advance
Amanda is an out-of-network provider and as a student intern is not eligible to submit superbills to clients for insurance reimbursement.
Counselors and providers are better able to protect your personal and health information with the greatest degree of privacy when you pay privately for your services without using insurance. Your records remain free from any audit or compliance check. You have the most flexibility and control in deciding the session frequency, longevity, content, and interventions. Mental health diagnoses are not provided to your insurance.

Additional Information
Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors adventuring with friends, reading, listening to podcasts, cooking, and dancing. Amanda plans to pursue her Perinatal Mental Health Certificate with Postpartum Support International to further deepen her expertise in supporting women during and after pregnancy. Amanda is currently a student intern, committed to providing compassionate care and support during each client’s journey.
