Elijah Shockley | Graduate Counseling Intern
About Elijah as a Counselor
Elijah is a counseling intern at Western Seminary, currently serving clients at Lacamas Counseling. His therapeutic approach is rooted in emotional depth, relational understanding, and strength-based care. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and person-centered therapy, he helps clients explore their emotional world, early relationships, and identity with compassion and curiosity. He integrates aspects of solution-focused therapy and positive psychology to support clarity, resilience, and hope. Elijah especially enjoys working with Gen Z, young adults, veterans, non-neurotypical individuals, and those navigating spiritual questions or relational challenges. His approach honors the emotional, spiritual, and relational dimensions of healing.
Elijah is under direct supervision of Blake Arnold, LMHC, LPC, LCP, and NCC. He is able to provide in person counseling in Camas, WA or online counseling for Washington, Oregon, and Montana residents.
