About Emma as a Counselor
Emma honors the uniqueness of each person and strives to bring a holistic, kind, and hopeful approach to therapy. Her gentle, welcoming demeanor helps create a safe and supportive space where clients can open up at their own pace. Emma believes that it is a privilege to walk alongside people and highly values the therapeutic relationship in her work with clients.
She is passionate about helping individuals heal from the past while also discovering purpose, meaning, and empowerment in their lives. Emma partners with individuals, couples, children, teens, and families navigating a wide range of emotional and life challenges. Her experience includes work with trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting, identity-related concerns, and more.
Emma’s approach is trauma-informed, eclectic, and personalized—guided by each client’s personal experiences, strengths, and needs. She takes an integrative perspective that may include exploring personal values, understanding different parts of the self, increasing body awareness, and reflecting on how past experiences and relationships shape the present. Depending on the client, sessions may also incorporate education about how the brain and body respond to stress, along with mindfulness, creative expression, or play-based techniques.
