About Esther as a Counselor

Esther is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is able to provide in person counseling in Camas, WA or online counseling for Washington residents.

Esther understands the tremendous honor it is to be able to walk with clients and offers genuine, compassionate care to each she journeys with. She has a peaceful, empathetic presence that helps her clients feel comfortable as they address their concerns and challenges. Her clients appreciate Esther’s interactive approach, attentive listening, and wise insights. Esther also is skilled in helping clients identify their strengths and successes, and how those can be utilized in addressing challenges being faced.

Esther specializes in working with clients navigating grief as well as perinatal loss. Additionally, her education and experience in Early Childhood Education have given her both the skills and ability to help guide parents through the struggles of raising young children. Esther uses her experience of working with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and more, to look at what may have led to these struggles and is continuing to cause pain. As Esther works with clients, she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment therapy, and EMDR to increase confidence, move forward, and find enjoyment again.

Training and Background

Esther has a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Multnomah University in Portland, OR. She has a Bachelors of Science in Social and Behavioral Studies from George Fox University in Portland, OR.

Esther is a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist as well as certified in MommaCare for pregnancy and infant loss. Her previous experience has been seeing a range of clients in Private Practice.

*Superbills available for all other insurances for client to submit for Out-of-Network Reimbursement.

Your records remain free from any audit or compliance check. You have the most flexibility and control in deciding the session frequency, longevity, content, and interventions. Mental health diagnoses are not provided to your insurance.

Additional Information

Esther is a wife and mom. She enjoys spending time outdoors when the weather is nice, reading, listening to podcasts, and especially loves spending time with her friends and family. Esther is able to incorporate a Christian faith perspective into counseling for clients who may desire that approach.
