Hannah Shaver

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (WA), Professional Counselor Associate (OR)

About Hannah as a Therapist

Hannah Shaver is a Licensed Mental Health Counseling in Washington and a Professional Counseling Associate in Oregon. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is able to provide in person counseling in Camas, WA or online counseling for Washington and Oregon residents.

Hannah is a compassionate and welcoming counselor who seeks to empower her clients to live their life to the full, experiencing personal growth, healing, and fulfillment. Hannah views counseling as a collaborative process where the client is honored for their expertise on their own life and healing journey. Hannah’s approach to therapy incorporates an exploration of relationship to self and others and cognitive and behavioral methods to identify beliefs, recognize strengths, pinpoint needs, and explore options. She may incorporate creative arts, play, and sandtray to assist the individual to process and work through problems, explore beliefs, and gain insight about themselves. She may also use interpersonal methods to role play, develop skills, and to help the client grow in confidence.

Hannah considers it her privilege to have life experience and/or to have worked with clients from a wide range of social, cultural, and mental health experiences. This includes survivors of trauma and domestic abuse, young adults in life transitions at a university campus, individuals in a residential addictions treatment center, elderly persons on hospice, individuals struggling with bipolar disorder, and elementary school children, among others.

Hannah received her Master of Arts in Counseling degree with a Child and Youth Specialization from Western Seminary in 2020. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Multnomah University in 2016. She currently leads classes in abuse recovery through Abuse Recovery Ministry and Services.
