About Kimberly as a Counselor
Kimberly Decker is a compassionate counselor dedicated to providing client-centered care for individuals and families navigating life’s challenges. Based in Camas, WA, she offers in-person sessions as well as online counseling for residents throughout Washington and Oregon. Kimberly honors each client’s unique journey and inner wisdom, tailoring her approach to meet their specific needs.
Kimberly’s therapeutic practice is grounded in person-centered and developmental theories, integrating various modalities including Relational Neurobiology, Attachment Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This diverse training equips her to help clients strengthen emotional connections and build resilience.
As a certified Grief Recovery Specialist, Kimberly is uniquely positioned to support individuals as they process loss. She finds great fulfillment in empowering clients as they navigate life transitions and address challenges like attachment issues, anxiety, depression, burnout, and ADHD. With nearly 30 years of experience as a certified Montessori teacher, Kimberly brings valuable insight into children’s developmental needs, enabling her to provide effective parent coaching and skill-building in social and relational development.

Training and Background
Kimberly holds a Master’s Degree from Multnomah University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Human Development from Warner Pacific University. In 2020, she earned certification as a grief specialist from the Grief Recovery Institute. With three decades of experience as a Montessori teacher and 20 years as a pastoral leader, Kimberly brings extensive practical understanding of human development and relationships to her practice, enhancing her effectiveness with clients of all ages.

$150– 53 minute Individual Counseling
$180– 53 minute Family & Couples Counseling

Kimberly is able to offer supervisory billing under her direct supervisor in order to offer in-network benefits and rates for clients with Kaiser Permanente NW Commercial Insurance and PacificSource Commercial Insurance.
Kimberly is an out-of-network provider and is able to provide superbills (“therapy receipts”) to any client who wishes to use his/her out-of-network benefits.
When exploring your out-of-network benefits, you may want to ask your insurance carrier about the policy/coverage for an out-of-network provider, deductible, rate of reimbursement, number of sessions authorized per year, process for obtaining reimbursement, and if prior-authorization is required.
Counselors and providers are better able to protect your personal and health information with the greatest degree of privacy when you pay privately for your services without using insurance. Your records remain free from any audit or compliance check. You have the most flexibility and control in deciding the session frequency, longevity, content, and interventions. Mental health diagnoses are not provided to your insurance.
