About Tyler as a Therapist
Tyler is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington. He is able to provide in person counseling in Camas, WA or online counseling to Washington residents.
Tyler has a calm demeanor that prioritizes feeling safe and heard in his sessions. He brings thoughtfulness, compassion, and a bit of humor wherever he goes, making it an open environment for his clients to connect, heal, and troubleshoot however most benefits them. He believes that all people should be given the support and resources needed to weather the storms of their lives and come out the other side stronger and smarter than before, and he is aware of the great honor it is to be able to provide aspects of those supports and resources in clients’ lives.
Tyler works with individuals and couples navigating challenges such as trauma, depression, or anxiety using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT), attachment theory, and Hope-Focused Counseling (HFC) to identify the source of the problem and find a path toward healing and acceptance. He has a specific compassion for members of the LGBTQ+ community and the challenges they encounter. Whether by advocating for their needs or providing a safe environment for them to learn and thrive, he means to be a part of their journey towards healing in as many ways as he is able.
